Psychotherapy Integrating Mind, Body, and Relationship
for Adults And TEENAGERS 16+
In all of my work, I use an integrated mind-body-relationship approach to address challenges related to trauma, attachment, transitions and disruptions, stage of life issues, depression, anxiety, and issues involving sexuality, identity, purpose, and meaning.
With awareness and acceptance of the ways in which past experiences impact our minds, bodies, and relationships in the present moment, I help people to direct their attention, modulate their physiological responses, and free themselves to live and love with greater pleasure, creativity, and ease.
I specialize in working with people who experience difficulties in intimate relationships, particularly in their roles as partners and parents. I also enjoy supporting teenagers, college students, and young adults as they navigate the challenges of growing into new phases of life.
I am a licensed psychotherapist with more than a decade of experience working with adults, teenagers, and families in a wide variety of settings. I hold a Masters degree in Counseling from the Somatic Psychology program at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and I have specialized training in a variety of mind-body, trauma-focused, and attachment-oriented approaches that inform and guide my work.
All of my work takes place within the context of a respectful and collaborative relationship. I am knowledgeable about and experienced with LGBTQ+ issues, and I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds around issues related to multicultural challenges and social justice.
My office is located three blocks from the Downtown Mall at 421 Park Street. I am an in-network provider for most Anthem and Optima plans, and I serve as an out-of-network provider for other insurances. I am also an approved CSA provider for Charlottesville City and Albemarle County.
